Who, as a child, loved to eat the white chalk at school? It had to be the soft white chalk, and i would always make a beeline for the chalk board in every class, for my daily fix. One of my teachers said that she noticed that her white chalk vanished every time we came to her class. She wanted to know who the culprit was that was taking her chalk. In unison, my classmates looked at me….. I didn’t get into trouble though, because she was shocked speechless that i ate the chalk. She did however, tell me i would never have children. Well, to say the least, I have three very healthy children. I continued eating the chalk none the less. After school, i could not find my soft white chalk, and my heart was broken.
One day I was on google, looking for some miracle something I could use to brighten my teeth. I came across activated charcoal and as you know, google and YouTube always give you other related products.
One of those related products was Bentonite healing clay. I watched YouTube videos and browsed google, finally satisfied with what I learned about this miracle clay. I decided to try it out for myself and went to Dischem to purchase it. I must say, I was a bit nervous at first to try it out. I took some (DRY) on a teaspoon, enough to get a good idea of it’s taste. Low and behold, my CHALK! We were reunited once again. I could not believe it, and the most amazing part of it all – it was healing chalk.
When handling bentonite clay, don’t use any metal containers or teaspoons. Use only plastic, glass and wood. Make sure to check your labels, because there is Bentonite clay for EXTERNAL USE ONLY and one for INTERNAL and external.
I got the one for external use only, there is a story, maybe in another blog.
Before i go, let me tell you what this wonderful clay is made of.
INGREDIENTS: sodium bentonite, composed of aged volcanic ash.
CONTAINS: silica, calcium, sodium, iron, potassium.
There is so much more i want to say about this clay, what it does, and what it is good for. Maybe i will do that blog with my story. Who would have guessed I would find my chalk in volcanic ash?
Until next time.
Much Love
Amanda
