I recently interviewed curly haired girl on her daily hair care routine and products she uses on her hair.

This is her story.

What products do you use for your hair?

Well! i’m not really picky when it comes to shampoo and conditioner, but i do try to avoid silicones. I use the originals olive oil leave – in conditioner and hair mayonnaise as styling products . I alternate these with clicks brand, Afri true curl power curl creme. Once or twice a month I like to deep condition with Afri true conditioning hair mayonnaise, which I mix with HR placenta oil. Once a month, I also like to deep condition with coconut oil.

How often do you wash and style your hair?

It really depends on what i have going on, but I usually wash my hair once a week. If I haven’t been working out much, i might wash it every one and a half weeks. I like to just style my hair once between each wash day. This entails getting it wet and detangled, and then re-applying my styling products, but no shampoo and conditioner.

When you used only conditioner as a styling product and the products you use now? Was there a huge difference in washing and styling your hair? 

No matter what product I used as a styling product, it usually lasts one week. However, If the product is very light like the originals olive oil leave – in conditioner, then more frequent application is necessary. I like to cocktail light products with heavier ones so that my curls last longer. I never wash or style my hair consecutive mornings.
